BAZINGA! After five grueling hours of intense gaming, Bazinga and MBC came out on top at the Heroes of Newerth (HoN) Garena Cybercafe Alliance (GCA) League 2012 qualifiers held at Autosurf Cybercafe, Subang Jaya.
The two teams stormed into the HoN GCA League 2012 Grand Finals after topping their respective tables through 24 ladder matches played by 8 teams. Both Bazinga and MBC won on aggregates after a furious series of games.
Bazinga won 2 games and drew their last match to pull ahead of group rivals NB by kill aggregates, whilst MBC went 2-1 and outstripped group rivals Cynet on kill ratio as well.
The final Group A match between Bazinga and NB saw Bazinga force a draw by the skin of their necks with a slim frag lead. Bazinga team leader Shafizulfadli aka Aishterux said he it was unfortunate that it boiled down to forcing a draw and holding the advantage.
"But there was little we could do, NB was intensely pushing at our towers and throne, we had no choice but to play defensively," he said after receiving the RM150 cash prize for winning the qualifier.
The Group B final match saw MBC go head on against FFK Nash and furiously farm kills to get ahead in kill ratios to win in aggregate against Cynet. Team Captain Tengku Ridzwan aka Techz said it was one of the toughest HoN matched he's played in awhile.
"My hands were still shaking after the match ended," said Techz.
Bazinga's luck doubled as two of their members won the lucky draw and took home Razer(tm) merchandise, in an act of good sportsmanship Aishterux passed his Razer bag to Group B runner up, NB team captain, Gary.
So pull out the pom-poms and show your support for the Autosurf kaki's representing the cafe at the HoN CGA League 2012 Grand Finals to be held at the end of the month at WCG Infinity, Setapak!
